Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher Miss Honey. During her first term at school, the two forge a bond as Miss Honey begins to recognize and appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves to punish those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

The time has come! Congratulations to all who auditioned for Matilda the Musical! Overall, the quality and commitment in the auditions have really improved and we had to make some really tough decisions. I am so proud of each and every one of you who stepped out of your comfort zone to audition. Putting yourself out there, under the spotlight, and open to critique, requires immense courage and passion. You gave your best, pushed past nerves, and shared your unique talents with us and we cannot be more grateful.
As always, there will be people who are excited and people who are disappointed. Please read the information below to help you sort through anything you may be feeling. Remember that we are all humans with feelings. Some of you will be extremely excited, while others of you may not. If you have been cast in the show, please know that you will be singing a teamwork contract at the first rehearsal on November 20th.There is a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to bad-mouthing other cast members or saying you are better than anyone else. If I hear or see you intentionally putting down another member of the cast you will be removed from the show immediately. We need to be able to work as a team and one bad apple can spoil the bunch. Keep your drama out of this space and we will get along fine.
