Performance Attire

Wearing a uniform is part of any great sports or musical team. It helps us feel unified as an ensemble. Having uniformity in our appearance helps us keep the focus on the music at our concerts. Uniforms are not meant to place anyone in financial distress, but rather to make our choirs look as good as they sound. Students in all curricular Oshkosh North High School choirs will wear tuxes and dresses. Fittings will happen during the first two weeks of the school year. Please be patient and cooperative during this process.

Dress clothes for concerts must include the following:
Tenors/Basses: School provides: Black tux pants, black jacket, bow tie, vest, white tux dress shirt

Student provides: Black socks, black dress shoes (no tennis shoes or flip flops)

Sopranos/Altos: School provides: Dress
Student provides: Black closed-toe dress shoes (no tennis shoes or flip flops)

Students will fill out a contract and be responsible for keeping the uniform clean and hung up. Students also receive a garment bag to protect the uniform. If they do not turn in their uniform at the end of the year, they will be issued a fine.

General Notes on Attire:
  • please use deodorant
  • no strong perfumes or body sprays
  • jewelry should be minimal
  • don't wear any barrettes or headbands that will be noticeable by the audience

Uniform Care:
  • Do not eat or drink while wearing your uniform (except water)
  • Report problems with your uniform to Ms. Duffy-Ulrich

All students pay the OASD $20.00 Uniform maintenance fee to the North High Bank Office. Checks may be payable to “Oshkosh North.” This fee ensures that each student will have a clean outfit that should fit reasonably well.
